Resident Alien, An alien crashes on Earth and hides in a remote Colorado mountain town; after assuming the identity of the town doctor, his nefarious mission is threatened when he realizes one of the townspeople, a 9-year-old boy, can see his true alien form.

Although only one short season, I really enjoyed it! It is one of the best shows Syfy has put out in a few years. It is refreshing, it is fun. I think casting Alan Tudyk for this was a masterstroke, he owns the part, his appearance, his humor, it is just a perfect match. The sheriff is definitely my second favorite character, he simply is hilarious. 

As I said, Resident Alien is only one season old, 10 episodes but it is just too funny not to be on my favorite list. The first episode aired early this year on January 27th and March 31st was the last episode of the 1st season. On March 17th Resident Alien was already renewed for season 2 by Syfy, so when the first season still was on the air! 

On Rotten Tomatoes the show also does really wel! The audience rate the first season at 91% but the critics are even more generous, 94% of the critic reviewers thinks this is a great first season. So the second season has big shoes to fill but I am confident season 2 will be at least as entertaining as the first season.

In last few years, Syfy shows seem to be most consistent regarding Blu-ray releases! As far as I know, most shows still get a Blu-ray release, Resident Alien fortuntely is one of them. If you haven't seen it yet, checkt it out, you won't regret it!
