I have to say, I am sad it is finished! Season 4 got twenty episodes, and the final season only got six episodes. I know that back in 2014 I didn’t mind it ended with just these six episodes, but after rewatching it twice since then, I have to say that I wish we’d have more episodes. At least a longer season five, say 13 episodes.
A few years back there were rumors about a continuation of some sorts, Eddie McClintock was very vocal about that, but apparently it died down, unfortunately.
In these six episodes we see the end of the Paracelsus story-arc, rest in peace Anthony Head, and there is another short story-arc that comes from that particular arc with Claudia’s sister Claire Donovan (Chryssie Whitehead) and Benedict Valda (Mark Sheppard), which closes in the fifth episode. Episodes 2, 3 & 4 are ... more or less standalone episodes, not entirely because Claudia’s sister storyline is also interwoven in the second episode.
To me, the best episode this season has to be “Savage Seduction”, episode four, where Myka, Pete, Artie & Kelly, Pete’s old girlfriend, are sucked into a Spanish soap opera on TV. They literally get sucked into the telly. The most absurd things happen during that episode; I love it all, the whole way through, it simply is hilarious!
I really like how Warehouse 13 ends, I obviously knew that Pete and Myka ended up together, all through the series, it was very obvious that Pete really cared for Myka, often it felt more than friendship or being colleagues. I did not have this feeling with Myka’s character. Sure, she also really cared for Pete, but more like real close friends instead of a romantic relationship. Still, I don’t complain about it because I like them ending up together.
I also liked how things ended between Artie and Claudia, like with Pete and Myka, this was very heartfelt and very rewarding for the viewers who have been watching this for five seasons. It was a surprise to me that Artie suddenly had a son, but the explanation was good, to have something “normal” outside the life at the Warehouse. Something or someone to balance you. I was happy to see Leena back one more time, we got to see her first arrival at the Warehouse, foreseeing her own death and telling Mrs. Frederic that it was okay, she didn’t need to worry! I also really liked it when Mrs. Frederic reminded Pete that nothing ever ends at the Warehouse, it’s an Endless Wonder, a returning theme!
I found this on IMDb of the last episode at the Trivia section. I didn’t remembered this myself: About when Artie asks the Warehouse for some appreciation in the final episode; When Artie is upset and yells at the Warehouse for its seemingly unappreciation of his many years of service, the Warehouse creates and gives Artie an apple. This is an allusion to the Season 3 finale “Stand” where Helena Wells was informed that those who Warehouse 12 favors, smell apples while inside. Helene smelled apples again at the end of “Stand”, showing Warehouse 13 confers the same benefit. Warehouse 13 giving Artie a whole apple is high praise indeed.
What I also was happy about was that Myka, after two seasons, finally had a good set of hair again! I don’t know what was happening in seasons 3 & 4 but Myka’s hair looked like a wig, a cheap wig! I found that so annoying because it distracted me constantly. Perhaps she was ill during these two seasons, I don’t know but I really was flabbergasted about Myka’s hair.

Pete Lattimer: Sure. Oh, hey, Artie, next week can we go meet Honey Boo Boo?
Artie Nielsen: Shut up and get in the TV.
Pete Lattimer: Okay.
Myka Bering: How does the compass work?
Artie Nielsen: Once the setting maul has been reassembled, it activates the compass and the compass sweeps the warehouse. It converts all the artifacts' energy, directs all that energy to the new warehouse, and that's what completes the transfer.
Pete Lattimer: Say what?
Claudia Donovan: It's like the transporter from Star Trek, minus the dilithium crystals.
Pete Lattimer: Oh, cool.
Pete Lattimer: [to Myka] Did you accidentally touch a nympho artifact?
Mrs. Irene Frederic: I am a woman of infinite surprises.
Final Word:
Well, obviously, the blog isn’t that long, I mean, only six episodes. I really enjoyed watching it again, more than with my previous rewatches. I’ve come to absolutely love Warehouse 13. Especially these characters, they make the show great, a perfect cast, I love them all. I can only recommend watching this (again), it really holds up and Pete and Myla, well, for me they are the heart of the show but that is just because I really love those two characters, a tad more than the rest of the cast. I will miss Pete, Myka, Claudia, Artie and Steve, I wish we would have gotten some more time with them.
