The Last of Us first aired/streamed in January 15th, 2023. Is it that long ago already! 18 months ago it came to our screens, any sort of a screen it is nowadays! Anyway, I was blown away by it! The episodes were like mini movies, grabbing you by the throat immediately. Horror, thriller, sci-fi, it is all packaged in this show. 

I haven't seen it again since it first was released, I was hooked from the first episode and just a few days ago I ordered and received the 4K release including Blu-ray discs. Season Two is scheduled for 2025. 

Really looking forward to rewatch it again because I have to be honest, it is all kind of a blur at the moment, I just know I really loved it. It does bring up another point... there are a lot of 'end of the world' movies and TV shows released in the last few years, as if we are being prepared for that inevitable outcome! 

Premise:

20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed, Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival. (IMdB)
