Helix, from the mind Cameron Porsandeh. Ronald D. Moore, whom you know from Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and For All Mankind, is an executive producer. I can't say Helix is an all time favorite of mine, I did like the first season, was not so impressed with season two. I never rewatched this so I am unclear about any details but I am planning to do a rewatch somewhere early 2026.

Helix is a combination of horror, thriller, drama and sci-fi. In the first season there are three actors I knew from earlier TV shows and or movies: Billy Campbell, Hiroyuki Sanada and Kyra Zagorsky. In season two another familiar face turned up: Steven Weber as Brother Michael. Matt Long I did not know before this but later he was on Manifest. Jeri Ryan had a recurring part in season one.

The two seasons are very different from each other, which perhaps was the reason for me why I had issues with season two. Again, I don't remember much from both seasons and I do look forward to watch it again. I purchased the season one Blu-ray set very early on, but I purchased season two 4 or 5 years ago, because I wanted a complete set.

Helix is a sci-fi horror series about a CDC team sent to a remote Arctic research base to investigate a mysterious, fast-spreading virus, only to discover it's a mutating pathogen that turns victims into aggressive, zombie-like creatures (vectors) and uncovers a vast conspiracy involving a shadowy biotech corporation (Ilaria) and ancient immortality, leading to a claustrophobic survival horror with global stakes.
