Halo (also called Halo: The Series) is an American science-fiction series which is developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane for the streaming service Paramount+. The TV show is based on the video game franchise of the same time.
The show is produced by Showtime networks, 343 Industries & Amblin Television. It is set in te 26th Century where we follow a war between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant, a theocratic-military alliance of several advanced alien races determined to eradicate the human race.
When I had my other website, SF Series and Movies (2011-2018), I already posted a news item about this new TV show. This was somewhere in 2013 when the development of the series began. All these years it remained fairly silent, till 2018 when Killen was hired, and the official announcement came that Paramount ordered nine episodes for the first season. When Halo premiered on March 24, 2022, it was already announced that the show would be renewed for a 2nd season.
I have seen the first season now though I have never played the game but after I’d seen the trailer I got intrigued and therefore I purchased the 1st season on Blu-ray recently. On Rotten Tomatoes the first season currently holds an approval rating of 70%. So I took a chance and purchased the first season on Blu-ray, really looking forward to this first watch!
