Forever is an American fantasy, sci-fi-ish crime drama that aired on ABC, started in the fall of 2014, on September 22. After it had gotten a full season order on November 7^th, 2014, ABC cancelled Forever because of low ratings. Their however is room to believe there is more than just the low rating because the show gained viewers who watched up to seven days later on their DVRs. Like with shows like Jericho, Timeless and other shows, fans reacted strongly on social media but ABC didn’t budge and Forever stayed cancelled unfortunately.

The premise is similar to that of the Highlander series, perhaps even more with New Amsterdam, that aired on FOX some 6 years earlier with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the lead as John Amsterdam. Still, it was a lot of fun because of very interesting characters played by strong actors.

Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd) is a New York City medical examiner who studies the dead for criminal cases, and to solve the mystery of his own immortality. He was 200 years old and according to the antagonist we call Adam, he still was very young. While this Adam knows all about Henry, Henry knows nothing about this Adam character who isn’t afraid of killing. Judd Hirsch, Abe, is Henry’s adopted son, who of course looks much older than Henry. Henry becomes sort of a consultant of the police besides being a medical examiner, working closely with Detective Jo Martinez (Alana de la Garza) and in the lab he is assisted by Lucas Wahl (Joel David Moore).

I recently rewatched this and I am still very much enjoy the show, Ioan Gruffudd, who plays Henry carries the show and he does this very well, a fine actor and a strong character.
