12 Monkeys first aired on January 15, 2015 and the final episode aired July 6th, 2018. Season 3 aired over three consecutive nights started on May 19, 2017. 12 Monkeys was not really cancelled after four seasons, it was decided it would end with 4 seasons and the creators were able to conclude the series as intended. Strange thing is though, although it ran for a solid 4 seasons, the ratings never were any good. Back in 2015 and 2016 I watched the first two seasons but after that I was unable to watch seasons 3 & 4. It also took awhile before they were available on Blu-ray. I already was impressed with the show, mainly with the second season so  when I got the chance, I would purchase the show on Blu-Ray. Last year I was able to purchase the complete series from Mill Creek Entertainment via Amazon.com and starting this year I have begun to watch it from scratch. Because I watch it with my partner, it is not going as fast as I would like but it's not a big issue, almost at the end of season 3.

I have to say, till now I am even more impressed, 12 Monkeys is one of the best SCI-FI shows of the last decade, for sure, and I still have about 12 episodes to go before I am finished! It's a complex story which makes rewatches very rewarding. 12 Monkeys is a must-see for every SCI-FI fan, it is a complete package of great entertainment, massive storylines, interesting characters...just great TV. I hope I am able to write a complete series BLOG about it when I am finished. Although I am not sure because it's such a complexe show.

On Rotten Tomatoes this show also performs very adequate indeed! Critics give it 88% overal, the audience is a bit less enthusiastic but still 76%, which is a great score. If you got the chance, check this out, please do it!
