When I first started to watch Moonhaven, I honestly did not know what to think of it. I wasn't a SCI-FI show you could compare with another familiar one. It definitely was strange, different, a bit odd even. But I kept watching and I rather quickly I began to like it more and more. 

 

It only has 6 episodes and it ends with a cliff-hanger but at first the show was renewed for a second season, unfortunately the renewal was reversed and was the show effectively cancelled after only 6 episodes and a cliff-hanger.

 

To my surprise, a few weeks ago I suddenly saw that Moonhaven had been released on Blu-ray this July! This is really not something I expected, a cancelled TV show with only 6 episodes. 

 

Unfortunately this is a bare-bones Blu-ray release, no extra's whatsoever, it seems like a cash-grab thing but on the other hand, how many people will buy this? Well I did, because I ultimately thought this was interesting enough to rewatch once in a while.

So as said, it is a straight forward, simple release, a 2-disc set, 3 episodes on each disc, it has an English soundtrack, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. English SDH subtitles and unfortunately no extra's, nothing. The packaging is a standard Blu-ray case, so it won't stand out in your collection. I am not sure if it really is only region code A or perhaps also playable on regions B & C players. I can check this, so if you are interested, please let me know in the comments.

Final Word:

This is it, another unboxing blog. I realize this release is as standard as you can get it but still I wanted to show you, even though it is only a 2-disc standard set.
