The story acted as an epilogue to the series narrated by Jacob Dudman and featured Tommy Knight, Daniel Anthony, Anjli Mohindra, Katy Manning, Mina Anwar all in their respective roles from the series and also included Sophie Aldred, who portrayed Ace, a companion to the Seventh Doctor. The episode's credits thanked Sacha Dhawan, Scott Handcock and Stuart Humphryes.

The Sarah Jane Adventures is a British TV series, made for children primarily. It aired from January 1st, 2007 till 18 October 2011. The series was broadcast up to her death in 2011! Otherwise it is possible Elisabeth Sladen would have continued the role as Sarah Jane Smith. It focuses on the adventures of Sarah Jane Smith, an investigative journalist who, as a young woman, had numerous adventures across time and space with the Doctor. As I wrote just now, it is for kids but I have to admit, I found it very entertaining also, I have watched every episode of the show and I have the last two series on Blu-ray.

 

 3 of the 6 two-part stories in series 5 were completed before her death on April 19th, 2011. The BBC announced right after that there wouldn't be any new Sarah Jane Adventures. The 10th and the 11th Doctor guest starred in the Sarah Jane adventures, making these really special episodes. I only have positive feeling about this TV series, I will forever think of it fondly and I also will try to watch the last two series on Blu-ray in the near future. Perhaps that I even purchase the first 3 on DVD.

 

Farewell, Sarah Jane (Wiki) 

On 19 April 2020 a special 13-minute webcast mini episode entitled Farewell, Sarah Jane aired on Doctor Who's social media channels as a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen. During this story, it was implied that Sarah Jane had been killed while preventing an alien invasion. As such, a memorial service was held, attended by Luke, Clyde, Rani, Sky and Maria, accompanied by their friends and families (among them several of the Doctor's former companions). Apart from an interruption from, and final confrontation with, the Trickster, the memorial went smoothly, and the group prepare to leave 13 Bannerman Road once more. Rani, however, stays behind, and, in her final conversation with Mr. Smith, expresses her hopes that Sarah Jane is travelling with the Doctor (who was absent, since her death would have broken both his (or her) hearts, according to Jo Grant) once again. It was written by Russell T Davies.
