Last Rewatch: 01/05/2021 -  17/07/2021

The Invisible man, also called I-Man, first aired on the Sci-fi Channel on June 9th 2000 and the final episode aired on February 2, 2002. It only lasted two seasons, which is a shame because it is a fun show. To be honest, I haven't seen this show in 15 years or something. I purchased the first season on DVD quite early on, somewhere in 2005. It was released earlier in Europe than in the US. I watched it of course once of twice on DVD but after that I was waiting for a season 2 release which never arrived.

So the second season never has been released on physical media, why, I don't know, perhaps it was music rights, like with Human Target, or perhaps something else. Anyhow it is a shame that fans still only have half of a TV show on their shelf. The two lead characters were the attraction of the show for sure, Vincent Ventresca played Darien Fawkes who can turn invisible, his partner, Hobbes, played by Paul Ben-Victor was there for comic relief, at least to me! Of course he could be serious at times but he really was funny. And especially together they made a perfect team.

On Rotten Tomatoes I-Man isn't so successful. Only the first season has been judged by critics and it only scores 50%. No Audience ratings. I have good memories about this show, I would rate it around an 8 out of 10. (Update) I have the first season on DVD and I forgot I recorded it back in the day, when going through my stuff I found it again! Not the best PQ but I was able to watch it again!

Plot (IMDb): Darian Fawkes is a petty thief and conman who is bailed out of jail by his brother in return for undergoing an experiment that implants a "quicksilver" gland in his head that allows him to turn invisible. When his brother is killed, he ends up working for a top-secret government organization (disguised as the Department of Fish & Game) in return for a counter-agent which keeps the gland from driving him insane.
