Last Rewatch: 19/3/2017 - 24/4/2017

Plot continues:

With the aid of Cameron Phillips, a beautiful girl who has a mysterious past also linked to the future; Derek Reese, a Tech-Com soldier from the future whose past is linked with the Connors; Riley, a beautiful schoolfriend of John; and FBI Agent James Ellison, who was assigned to capture the Connors but joins them after his own encounter with one of the machines. They begin a quest to stop the United States military and a shadowy conspiracy from the future from creating the program that will stop at nothing to bring humanity to an end.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiered on January 13 2008 on FOX and  the last episode aired on April 10 2009. It has been a curse for some time now, good SCI-FI shows get easily cancelled on the FOX network. Plenty Examples beside this one: Firefly; Dollhouse; Almost Human; Terra Nova; Dark Angel; The Lone Gunmen; John Doe and more.

The first season of Terminator: TSCC aired while there was a WGA strike going on. It was the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007–08 television season and therefore was granted another season. The First season had an average of almost 11 million viewers. In season 2 this dropped more than half. Perhaps one of the reasons was that during the WGA strike there weren't that many new shows on air an thus could explain the high numbers in contrast to season 2.

Season two was certainly at least as good as the first season, probably a bit better. On Rotten Tomatoes both seasons have gotten very decent to very good numbers to deliver. The first season 76% and the second season 94%! In season 2 Brian Austin Green, known from the original Beverly Hills 90210 series, who plays Derek Reese, was added to the main cast. He was a wonderful addition to the cast, one of my favorite characters in the second season. Near the end he apparantly dies, although you never know in TV shows, especially not with time-travel involved.

This show is also on the list: "12 Shows Fox Should Be Embarrassed About Canceling" from October 2015. Other SCI-FI shows on that list are Firefly, Almost Human, The Lone Gunmen and Terra Nova. Typical that I have every show named here on DVD or Blu-ray! When I am writing this, I get the urge again to start a rewatch of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Plot (IMDb): This series is set after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). After the sacrifices of Dr. Miles Dyson and T-800 Model 101 Terminator, the Connors find themselves once again being stalked by Skynet's agents from the future. Realizing their nightmare isn't over, they decide to stop running and focus on preventing the birth of Skynet.
