Obi-Wan Kenobi started streaming this year on May 27^th, the last episode was available on June 22^nd 2022. It suppose to be a limited series, so normally we don’t expect another season but who knows. Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of many new Star Wars shows on the horizon, Disney+ is really giving the viewer 2 to 3 new shows a year it seems. Later this month (September 2022) Andor will be available for streaming.

Obi-Wan Kenobi of course does not need introduction, one of the most important characters of the Star Wars Universe. This limited series was entertaining, nice to see the character again, but the story was fairly simple, don’t expect much in that but it was entertaining, good production values, lots of action. I really was impressed with the young actress Vivien Lyra Blair who played Leia,  thought she did a wonderful job.

According to Rotten Tomatoes the Star Wars fans aren’t all happy with the limited series. The critic reviews gives it 82% but the viewer is less forgiving, only 64%. Still a on the positive side but a bit on the low side. On September 8^th, , 2022, there will also be a documentary released about the limited series, it’s called: Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return.

Anyway I thought it was entertaining but I can be considered a newbie on Star Wars, only started watching it (again) since “The Force Awakens” movie.

Premise:

Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi has to save young Leia after she is kidnapped, all the while being pursued by Imperial Inquisitors and his former Padawan, now known as Darth Vader.
