Night Sky (formerly known as Lightyears), is an American science fiction series created by created by Holden Miller and Daniel C. Connolly for Amazon Studios and Legendary Television. On May 20, 2022 is was available for streaming on (Amazon) Prime. The cast is led by Sissy Spacek and J. K. Simmons. At first Ed O'Neil would play Franklin York but he dropped out and J.K. Simmons ultimately got the job.

A dear friend of mine tipped me about this new TV show, this was early July 2022. So when I started watching it, it most likely already was cancelled which I didn't realize till a week or two ago. Night Sky started out slowly but immediately I was intrigued with the premise. Beside that the lead actors did a terrific job, very convincingly. So I was almost immediately hooked.

As the first season continued it got more and more exciting, it really was going somewhere and last 2 episodes it all came together but unfortunately it was too late, I guess it was not popular enough to grant it another season. It only lasted 8 episodes but because I really enjoyed it I figured it had to be added to this page.

Premise: Follows Franklin and Irene York, a couple who years ago discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet.
