Luke Cage is an American TV series, created by Cheo Hodari Coker for the streaming service Netflix. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

It stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage. Other regular characters are: Misty Knight (Simone Missick); Hernan ‘Shades’ Alvarez (Theo Rossi); Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard); Cornell Stokes (Mahershala); Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson); Willis Stryker (Erik LaRay) and in season two John 'Bushmaster' McIver (Mustafa Shakir) and Tilda Johnson (Gabrielle Dennis).

Premise:

When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city. After clearing his name, Cage becomes a hero and celebrity in Harlem, only to encounter a new threat that makes him confront the line between hero and villain.

I really enjoyed the first season some ten years ago. But for some reason I never watched the second season. I learned it was cancelled for a third season because of creative differences during the development of a third season. I am planning to rewatch the first season and first watch the second season either this year or next year. Purchased the first season on Blu-ray back in 2020, season two never got a physical media release.
