Journeyman premiered on September 24, 2007 on NBC and the last episode aired on December 19th 2007. The initial order was 13 episodes, due to low ratings, what else is there....the show was cancelled in April 2008. All 13 episodes were produced prior the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike by screenwriters. Eventhough there was less content in those months, Journeyman still suffered from low ratings unfortunately.

I don't know for sure, I have to rewatch this, but I believe he time-travelled only back in time, not forward in time,  which I would have loved to see also. I guess, if the show had gotten a full season order or even a second season, that probabaly would have happened too.

Like with Jericho, fans also initiated an attempt to revive production of the series by sending boxes of Rice-A-Roni (a product associated with San Francisco) to NBC, echoing the "Nuts" campaign which led to a second season of the CBS series Jericho. Journeyman creator Kevin Falls acknowledged the campaign in his blog, saying "Your fight to save Journeyman has humbled and moved us. I'm certainly not going to tell you to stop now". However, Falls also said that there were long odds against a revival, stating "Journeyman will likely not be getting a back nine order. (Wiki)

As far as I know, Journeyman has only been released in the UK on DVD! It was released in April 2013 by Mediumrare although I see a different studio now on amazon, and even it is not available at the moment, it also says it's not yet discontinued. I purchased the set back in 2013 on release date, due for a rewatch because that is the last time I watched the show.

Plot (IMDb): Investigative newspaper reporter Dan Vassar has a 'gift' to suddenly travel back in time, only to enable him to set straight something which caused great problems in the present, for him, his loved-ones or broader society. That puts great strain on Dan's family, including doting but 'deserted' young son Zac and brother Jack, a cop who wants to learn the truth.
