Intelligence premiered on CBS on January 7, 2014. It ran for only one season but the first episode drew 16 million viewers in the United States! It was because NCIS was airing before Intelligence, pretty high numbers, even if it was because it aired after NCIS. CBS thought it had a hit on its hand. Unfortunately the viewer numbers plummeted after that to 5-7 million viewers over the course of the first and only season. Which in today standards is not even so bad.

I really liked Intelligence, obvious because it is on this list. It was a mix of Chuck and Jake 2.0. and perhaps The Six Million Dollar Man. A little bit of SCI-FI elements in terms of Gabriel Vaughn, who has an enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. I really hoped they would have renewed this show. I think it was a close call, ultimately The Mentalist got renewed for a 7th and final season of 13 episodes instead of a second season to this show, Intelligence.

The cast was great, really impressive: Josh Holloway (Lost, Colony), John Billingsley (Star Trek: Enterprise), Meghan Ory (Once Upon A Time), Marg Helgenberger (CSI) and recurring cast people like Peter Coyote, Lance Reddick and Zuleikha Robinson. The stories were engaging, there was lot of room for action, humor and drama, in the right way.

Till this day, this show hasn't been released on DVD or Blu-ray in any part of the world. Which is a shame because it really has a big rewatch factor. Perhaps if it's streaming on any platform, check it out, it's really fun and entertaining.

Plot (WIKI): Gabriel Vaughn is a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. With this implant, Gabriel is the first human ever to be connected directly into the globalized information grid. He can get into any of its data centers and access key intel files in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies. Lillian Strand, the director of the United States Cyber Command who supports Gabriel and oversees the unit's missions, assigns Secret Service agent Riley Neal to protect Gabriel from outside threats, as well as from his appetite for reckless, unpredictable behaviors and disregard for protocols. Meanwhile, Gabriel takes advantage of his chip to search for his wife who disappeared years ago after being sent by the C.I.A. to infiltrate and prevent the Lashkar-e-Taiba from carrying out a terrorist attack in Mumbai, India.
