As said, it does look like an official release, except for some obvious mistakes on the backside of the cover. Just check out the premise on the backside, the last sentence: “Murdock faces a fight on two frents to keep the city sale”! Also, when you check out the red bar on the backside, it says 1080 Hight Defintion widescreen, two more errors. Also you see English 5.1 Dolby Digital, while a bit below in back it says Master Audio 7.1. Perhaps there are more errors which elude me at the moment, but you get the gist of it at least. But this doesn’t bother me that much to be honest.

So it does have an English audio track and it also has English subtitles. The set is region free, which is obvious because it is a bootleg, but I checked for you to be sure, played in my region free player which was set to region A and on my region B player. In both players, a Panasonic and an LG player, it works. The set has no inner print, neither does the carton box which holds the set and do also not expect any special features, it is a bare bones release with nothing more than the episodes.

Final Word:

It just shows that it is not always obvious if something is an official release, in this case, I think I should have been more observant, I think I would have spot those errors online also instead of when it arrived. Still, I am pleased with the set for now, I mean, it looks good, the short pieces I watched do look very good. I am not going to recommend this set this time, because for obvious reasons, you’ll have to decide for yourself if you want to purchase this bootleg set and as I said, be observant and when you are in doubt, your gut will tell you if something is off. I didn’t listen to my gut with this purchase, but I guess I wanted it to be an official release so I ignored my gut.
